Acrylic Sealant

Single-component acrylic sealant is a versatile and economical choice for many caulking, filling, and embedding applications in construction. It's paintable, flexible, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use with less water exposure. Common uses include sealing joints, filling cracks, and adhering materials like ceramic tiles and wooden moldings on vertical surfaces. However, for areas with constant water submersion or high movement, stronger sealants like silicone might be a better option.

Silicone Sealant

Silicone sealants are widely used in construction applications due to their excellent adhesion to various surfaces, particularly porous substrates like concrete and masonry. They excel in sealing glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal joints, retaining their color and bond strength even when exposed to UV radiation and unusually high temperatures. Silicone sealant is also highly weatherproof and waterproof, making it ideal for exterior applications.

Polyurethane Sealant

Professional-grade polyurethane sealants, offers outstanding adhesion, elasticity, durability, paintability, and more. These sealants can bond to most surfaces, particularly porous substrates like concrete and masonry. With their exceptional bond strength, they are well-suited for demanding applications. Explore the vast array of Sikaflex® polyurethane sealants for your specific needs.

MS Sealant

MS sealant is a tough, durable elastomeric joint sealant suitable for a wide range of internal and external building applications. It exhibits excellent primerless adhesion to a variety of common building substrates without staining concrete, marble, or other masonry surfaces.

Epoxy Anchoring Adhesive

Epoxy-based anchoring adhesives are designed for anchoring threaded rods, rebar, and smooth dowels in various base materials. They provide strength and versatility across a wide range of applications, making them ideal for cold weather conditions or applications requiring fast cure.

Frequently Asked Questions

    Q What Is Shore Hardness?

A Shore hardness is a measure of a material's resistance to indentation, indicating its hardness. This metric is essential for characterizing the mechanical properties of elastomers, plastics, and other polymers. Shore hardness is crucial in industries like automotive, manufacturing, and consumer goods, where it impacts product performance and durability.
  • What is the cause of stone pollution?

Because stone is a porous material, when using ordinary sealants, it may be invaded by substances released by the silicone sealant and cause contamination.
Precaution: Use special silicone sealant for stone with special formula design; carry out contamination test before apply to ensure they work well.
  • Can liquid nails be painted over?

All TENGYULiquid Nails products (except Liquid Nails Landscape and Liquid Nails Mirror, Metal & Glass as they are Silicone based adhesives) can be painted over.
  • What should I use to fill gaps in the sealing between aluminium window frames and adjoining timber frames?

We recommend  No More Gaps Exterior to fill gaps between your aluminium window frames and adjoining timber frames. This product can also be used between timber weatherboards, fences, eaves and doorframes. It is so versatile.
  • What is the recommended dry time for most acrylic and latex caulks before you can apply paint?

Most acrylic latex caulks can be painted approximately .40minutes after application (depending on joint depth, temperature and humidity), clear acrylic and latex caulks should be allowed to turn completely clear before painting. Please reference the product label for specific recommended dry time.
  • What is the best product to seal the perimeter of my window and door frames?

Acrylic sealant ,silicone sealant both can be used for windows and door frames.
  • Can MS be painted ?

Hybrids can be painted very well using most paint types. Note: Paint is less flexible than hybrid sealants and therefore the paint may crack when adhesive sealant joints move. We recommend always carrying out a prior adhesion and compatibility test.
  • What are the correct dimensions for a sealant joint?

Ensure the minimum sealant joint width is 6mm but no more than 20mm. The sealant joint depth will depend on the width. Continue using a 6mm sealant joint depth up to 12mm width. When higher than this, the sealant joint depth should be half the joint width.
  • Can I paint over the silicone sealant?

No, paint does not adhere to a silicone sealant.
