The long chain of polyether is characterized by low unsaturation, high molecular weight and narrow distribution, and the end group is a hydrolyzed siloxane group. When MS adhesive is cured at room temperature and humidity, it forms a network structure connected by flexible polyether long chain with Si-O-Si bond as the crosslinking point. This system not only has excellent weather resistance, water resistance, aging resistance and durability, but also can effectively inhibit and avoid surface cracks after long-term use of sealant.
Terminal silyl polyether is a silanoxy-terminated polyether with a long chain structure, which does not contain toxic isocyanate groups and dissociated cyanate esters like PU. Terminal silyl polyether has low viscosity and good workability, and it is not necessary to use organic solvents to adjust the process handling performance of the formulation. Therefore, MS adhesive can be completely done without adding any organic solvent, and its total volatile organic matter (VOC) is very low.
