Doors and Windows according to different design requirements to have thermal insulation, insulation, sound insulation, waterproof, fire and other functions, the new requirements of energy saving, cold areas by the door and window gaps and loss of heat, accounting for about 25% of the total heating heat consumption, doors and Windows of the airtight requirements, is an important part of the energy-saving design, but also bear the important role of the door and window outer sealing waterproof. The contact part between the window frame and the wall or the separating component is not tightly sealed, which will seriously affect its thermal insulation, thermal insulation and waterproof effect.
1. There are three reasons for analyzing the leakage of doors and Windows:
First of all, the doors and Windows must be square, otherwise after a period of time in its use may appear more and more crooked, the gap between the window frame and the wall will be more and more large, air leakage is inevitable.
Secondly, when the window is installed, it is necessary to fill the gap between the window frame and the wall with foam glue. After the foam glue is cured, the sealant and waterproof glue are evenly applied around the window frame to prevent rain from penetrating into the room from the installation gaps of the window and wall, and to prevent air leakage. And it is necessary to glue both sides of the window inside and outside, and some workers want to save trouble, only glue inside, or glue at several points inside, and the seal is not strict. Even if the outside is made of foam glue, it will powder in a year or about a year and a half, and water leakage in the rainy season will appear.
In addition, improper selection of sealant, poor quality, aging and cracking, resulting in windowsill and wall leakage; The sealing glue of the outer wall of the old house is pulverized, which causes the gap between the window frame and the wall to become larger, resulting in water leakage.
Although the sealant is only an auxiliary material in the manufacturing process of doors and Windows, the proportion of cost is very small, but the performance of doors and Windows plays a very important role, especially in watertight, airtight, insulation, sound insulation and so on plays a vital role. Therefore, the door and window leak proof, the choice of sealant is particularly important.
2. So, what kind of door and window sealant should be used for high-quality doors and Windows?
In the selection process of door and window sealant, in addition to the standards it meets, it should also pay attention to its corresponding displacement level. Displacement capacity is the most key indicator to measure the elasticity of sealant, the higher the displacement capacity, the better the elasticity of sealant. The processing and installation of doors and Windows should choose products with displacement capacity of not less than 12.5 to ensure the long-term air tightness and watertightness of doors and Windows.
In the process of installation and use of doors and Windows, the bonding effect of ordinary sealant and cement concrete is usually worse than the bonding effect of aluminum profiles or glass, therefore, the sealant used for door and window installation is more suitable for products that meet JC/T 485.
High displacement level products have a stronger ability to withstand changes in joint displacement, and it is recommended to choose products with high displacement level as much as possible。
