Types and uses of silicone adhesive:

 (1) Structural sealant characteristics: withstand wind load, gravity load, high requirements for strength, aging resistance, elasticity has certain requirements. Usage: Mainly used for glass curtain wall between metal and glass structure or non-structural bonding assembly. It can directly connect the glass and the surface of the metal component to form a single assembly component, which meets the design requirements of the curtain wall with full or semi-hidden frame. (2), insulating glass with two silicone sealant characteristics: high modulus, not too soft, some have structural requirements. (3), weather resistant sealant characteristics: need to withstand larger joint width changes, elasticity (displacement capacity), high aging resistance requirements, do not require strength, high modulus, low modulus can be. Application: Suitable for weatherproof sealing of various curtain walls; Joint sealing of metal, glass, aluminum, tile, concrete, masonry, aluminum and paint surfaces. 

(4) Characteristics of ordinary silicone sealant: withstand changes in joint width, have a certain displacement capacity requirements, do not require strength. Uses: door and window joints, external wall caulking and other position sealing.

 (5) Special purpose silicone sealant characteristics: need to have a special performance (such as mildew, fire, etc.). 

Uses: Used for joint sealing with special requirements, such as fire, mildew and so on. Kitchen, bathroom joint sealant should have mildew resistance silicone sealant when using precautions
